Life has always been a platform to serve people by introducing them to a unique perspective of it, for them to better themselves. In 2018, I travelled to Bangladesh for humanitarian work and to promote livelihood sustainability and women empowerment. During this time, I also paid a visit to and interviewed the Rohingya refugees.

 

In 2011, I got inspired while visiting a feeding centre in Mombasa, Kenya. While in Mombasa I went on to visit villages, interviewed people, met with students, listened to their stories and inspired them to do more with their lives. But ultimately, they inspired me to do more with my life.

I started a virtual platform called The Purple Sheek — making short documentaries that explore human poetry and sharing stories that are inspirational. I have seen a lot of humanity through my work in charity, and in my travels, especially through the United States. This is why this platform was launched, so I can speak about and show Human Poetry. Every day, I am inspired by the lives and challenges that people have overcome. I have spoken to and listened to thousands of people during my short time on earth and I hope I can make the world a better place, one person’s story at a time.
